Sport Funding

The government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport will be allocated to primary school headteachers.This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on the provision of PE and sport in schools.

Stanton Under Bardon Primary School aims to provide the best PE and sport provision possible. We aim to deliver a programme of high quality lessons and to provide a pathway to participation that will enable all pupils to build their confidence and achieve their full potential. We also use our funding to provide additional sporting opportunities during and after the school day along with providing as many pupils as possible to participate in competitive sport.
