Class Three
Cave Art
We were learning about the Stone Age for our topic and after viewing many cave drawings and paintings, we thought that we would have a go ourselves. We turned the classroom into a cave by turning off all the lights and shutting the blinds. We talked about how people in the Stone Age would not have sat at a table on a chair to draw, so we thought it would be fun to try drawing the way people in that era did. We stuck brown paper underneath the table and lay down on the floor to do our cave drawings. It made our arms tired, but we thought the art was great. |
Exotic Animals
We had a very exciting day last week when we had several surprising visitors! Class 3 were visited by a tarantula, some meerkats, a coatimundi, a Burmese python and a lesa tenrec. What a fantastic way to start our Animals including Humans topic! Savannah Sunset
Using watercolours, we blended 3 different colours to create a sunset effect. Some of us used a white crayon to add the setting sun to the picture. When the paint dried, we drew the silhouette of a tree and an African animal before colouring it in by using a black crayon. They turned out really well! |
